Despite cooler, rainy weather throughout the day, the atmosphere during Havana Nights was definitely hot!
As 5:30 approached the skies opened and the crowds gathered. Welcomed by a vintage 1955 light blue Chevy, guests filled the pool area and Tiki Bar. VIP guests enjoyed complimentary Mojitos and Cuban fare as everyone anxiously awaited the Third Annual Renegade Runway event.

This year’s summer kick-off party benefitted Alpine Theatre Project, Sparrow’s Nest, Stumptown Art Studio, Children’s House Montessori School, SBG Gorilla Booster Club and Whitefish Public Schools. New this year, those who purchased a VIP ticket had the choice of deciding which local non-profit they wanted to donate to. Additionally, a pre- and post-show “pop up” shopping venue allowed guests to peruse through merchandise provided by runway vendors with a portion of the day’s purchases going to the beneficiaries.

The entire pool area and surrounding area was transformed into a Cuban oasis complete with crystal blue water, palms, fragrant citrus trees, mood lighting and even a cigar lounge!
The show began with a smoking swimsuit collection from our own Mercantile at The Lodge. Models made their way to the runway draped in colorful Pendelton blankets which gave way to reveal jaw-dropping beaded bikinis and one-piece attire. What a heart-pounding kick off!

Next up, The Naked Princess models confidently strutted around the pool in silky pajamas, lingere and loungewear. The ladies rocked it in vibrant and sexy fashions that played off the Havana beat.

Finally, the show was capped off with a lively collection from two Whitefish boutiques, Harlow and Harlette. From Latin-themed attire to whimsical summer dresses, models glided past onlookers with just enough breeze in the air to fluff twirling skirts and cool the steamy Havana atmosphere.

But that was just half the show! After the applause of the grand finale settled, the evening continued with Havana beats provided by the live DJ and round two of the Cuban cuisine. If you weren’t lucky enough to have your VIP ticket, you missed out on Street Tacos courtesy of the Boat Club chef. Still, those that came for the free show did not miss out. The Tiki Bar and Boat Club Lounge both provided a great view along with cocktail service and fresh food and snacks late into the evening.
